Wow! It is amazing how fast four years can go by! I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis yesterday with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a minor in finance. I graduated with Latin Honors and a research emphasis under the mentorship of Dr. Daniel Alligood at The Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes-Jewish Hospital. I have to express sincere gratitude to all my professors, mentors, advisors, and, especially, my family for investing their time in my journey throughout my undergraduate career. I could not have accomplished all that I have without your support! I submit my AMCAS application to medical school on May 28th, and will continue my clinical work as an ophthalmic technician during my GAP year. Something a speaker at graduation said was that perfection makes a really boring story. I thought that was a fantastic piece of advice, as trying new endeavors can be messy at times, but the lessons we learn are invaluable. To all the people who helped me along the way, I hope I made you proud over the past four years. My appreciation and dedication to the service of others could not be stronger, and I am eager to begin the next chapter!
